Food and drink in Azerbaijan

You can buy alcohol in Azerbaijan just as you can in China. I noticed no differences. You can also drink alcohol openly in restaurants.

If you know Meituan (美团) from China, Baku offers a familiar way to order: food delivery apps bring dishes from different restaurants to your door. I have personally tried both Bolt Food and Wolt.

I have tried both restaurants below myself and can personally recommend them. If I may offer an opinion as a non-Asian: if you are looking for Asian food in Baku, I think these are well worth considering.

For my app orders, payment was by card within the app only, including when collecting the food myself.

In the same area, I also discovered Chinese Ramen / 中华拉面, where you can sit down and eat. I tried the Lanzhou Beef Noodles (兰州牛肉面), a Lanzhou-style beef noodle soup, and thought it was quite good.
